What is Usui Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and supports the body’s natural healing processes. It works by channeling universal life force energy through the practitioner’s hands to restore balance in the body, mind, and spirit.
One of the most beautiful aspects of Reiki is that anyone can learn it—no prior experience or special abilities required.
How to Become a Reiki Healer
To become a Reiki healer, you will move through a series of training levels, each one expanding your knowledge, skills, and energetic capacity. These levels are traditionally taught by a Reiki Master Teacher and include:

Reiki Level 1
Reiki Level 1 is where your journey begins. This class focuses on self-healing and learning how to work with energy.
You'll experience a Reiki attunement to open your energy channels, an introduction to the history and principles of Reiki, hands-on practice with self-healing techniques and learn how to perform a Reiki session on others (in-person).
When you take Reiki Level 1 with me, you’ll receive a supportive, heart-centered experience where you will build confidence in feeling and working with energy, learn grounding and protection techniques, practice giving and receiving Reiki in a safe, nurturing space and begin your personal healing journey.
This level is deeply transformational and often brings emotional clarity, relaxation, and a stronger connection to your intuition.
Reiki Level 2
Reiki Level 2 expands your abilities and allows you to work with energy on a more powerful level.
You'll experience a second attunement to increase your energetic capacity, an introduction to 4 new Reiki symbols, training in distance (remote) healing, techniques for mental and emotional healing, and, techniques for clearing and protecting spaces, treating headaches and chair treatments.
In Reiki Level 2, I guide you through how to confidently send Reiki across time and space, using symbols to amplify healing energy, deepening your intuitive abilities and preparing to work with clients professionally (if desired).
This is the level expands your knowledge of Reiki, and ,gives you more techniques and symbols to work with.
Reiki 3 ART (Advanced Reiki Training)
Reiki Level 3 ART is for those who feel ready to deepen their practice and step further into their healing path. This class is day 1 of a Reiki Master weekend class.
You'll experience advanced attunement to elevate your vibration, an introduction to 4 new healing symbols, advanced Reiki healing techniques including working with Chakras, advanced Reiki techniques including House Blessings, Manifesting with Reiki, and Reiki Grids.
In this advanced training, you will expand your healing power and energetic sensitivity, learn advanced techniques to enhance sessions and your life, strengthen your spiritual connection and intuition, and continue your personal and energetic evolution.
This level is powerful for both personal growth and professional development.
Reiki Master
The Reiki Master level is the final stage of training and is for those who feel they want the bump in energy, want the Reiki Master title, or are called to teach and pass Reiki on to others.
You'll experience the Master attunement at the highest level, the Reiki Master attunement symbols, learn how to perform attunements for others, training on how to teach Reiki classes, and deep spiritual growth and alignment.
As your Reiki Master Teacher, I will support you in stepping into your role as a healer and teacher, learning how to lead Reiki classes with confidence, and, understanding the responsibility and ethics of teaching.
This level is not just about knowledge—it’s about embodiment, leadership, and service.
How Long Does It Take to Become a Reiki Healer?
You can begin practicing Reiki after completing Level 1, but becoming a fully trained Reiki Master is a personal journey that unfolds over time.
Some students move through the levels quickly over months, or over years—both paths are perfect. Each class is 1 day, with Reiki 3 ART and Master being taught together over a weekend. You can essentially be a Reiki Master in 4 months, or take as much time as you feel you need.
Your Reiki Journey Doesn't End at Master Level
Becoming a Reiki Master is a powerful milestone—but it’s not the end of your journey. In many ways, it’s just the beginning of a deeper path.
After completing your Reiki Master training with me, you’ll have the opportunity to continue expanding your skills and specialties through advanced modalities such as:
Crystal Reiki– combining the healing power of crystals with Reiki energy
Oncology Reiki– learning how to safely and compassionately support individuals experiencing cancer
Karuna Reiki®– a deeply transformative and advanced powerful Reiki system focused on compassion and higher-vibrational-level healing
