The Eclipse Wormhole

The Eclipse Wormhole

August 26, 20263 min read

There is something uniquely powerful about the time between two eclipses.

In astrology and spiritual circles, this period is sometimes called the Eclipse Wormhole or Eclipse Portal, a metaphor for the space between eclipses when life can feel as though it is shifting, old patterns are surfacing, and new possibilities are beginning to emerge.

While "eclipse wormhole" is not a scientific term, it offers a useful way to describe the transitional energy often associated with eclipse season.

What Is the Eclipse Wormhole?

Astronomically, eclipses occur during what is known as an eclipse season; a period of roughly 34–35 days when the Sun, Moon, and Earth are aligned in a way that allows eclipses to occur.

When two eclipses happen relatively close together, the time between them is often referred to spiritually as the eclipse wormhole. Think of it as a bridge between two points.

The first eclipse may bring something into awareness, while the second can illuminate what needs to change, shift, or move forward. The period between them can feel like being somewhere between the old and the new.

What Might You Experience?

The eclipse wormhole energy can present in many ways and is often associated with transition, reflection, and heightened awareness.

You may notice:

  • Feeling nervous or jumpy

  • Feeling tired and needing more rest than usual

  • Strong emotions, including old emotions, patterns, or situations resurfacing

  • Greater clarity about what is no longer working and full of sudden thoughts

  • Unexpected changes or sudden shifts in plans, work, or relationships

  • A desire to simplify or let go

  • Increased intuition or awareness

  • Questions about your relationships, work, or direction

  • A feeling of being "in between" chapters

Not everyone experiences eclipses in the same way; however, this can be a valuable time to slow down and pay attention to what is asking for your awareness.

How to Work With the Energy

Use the eclipse wormhole as a time to release the past, making space for new opportunities:

Prioritize Rest

Leave room in your calendar for energy preservation, relaxation, rejuvenation, and get plenty of sleep.

Ground Yourself

Allow yourself to feel in your body and connected to the earth. Spend time in nature, move your body, use breathwork, crystals, or even get in water to relieve or process any wormhole symptoms.

Pay Attention

Notice what keeps coming up. Recurring conversations, emotions, challenges, or opportunities may be highlighting something that deserves your attention. Journal and practice self-care to reset your system and take action after the last eclipse.

Let Go of Old Emotions

As old emotions come up, allow them to leave without resistance. Thank them for highlighting what needs to be released and use your favorite method for letting emotions go.

Release What You've Outgrown

Consider what you are ready to leave behind: a belief, habit, fear, expectation, or pattern that no longer supports you.

Don't Rush the Unknown

Periods of transition can feel uncomfortable. Give yourself permission to be between chapters without immediately filling the space, and make those big decisions after the last eclipse.

Listen to Your Intuition

Pay attention to your inner guidance, but don't confuse intuition with urgency. If you feel inspired to make a significant change, give yourself time to reflect and make grounded decisions after the last eclipse.

A Time Between Chapters

The eclipse wormhole is a reminder that transformation doesn't always happen in one dramatic moment. Sometimes, change happens quietly in the space in between

The wormhole is where we begin to see the path more clearly.
